Just like many of you out there, we have been watching the Olympics religiously the past week and have loved every minute of it. Cooper and Cambelle even enjoy watching for a few minutes at a time, especially swimming and gymnastics. This point was proven today when we found Cooper channeling his inner Olympian.
Waiting for his race to start. I thought this was hilarious because he picked up on the stance on his own from watching the swimming events. Perhaps the next Michael Phelps?
Last week Ben went on a backpacking trip with a couple of his friends in the Wind Rivers Range in Wyoming. They hiked 36 miles in 3 days--it would have killed me. He had a lot of fun and took some beautiful pictures. We're excited to start doing some backpacking together once the kids are a little older. But for now, I'm so glad he has friends that are up for some adventure.

I must say that Cooper is one character. He is obviously very observant. I just have to laugh when I see these pictures and the ones where he finds unusual places to sleep. These things show his personality (in my opinion)and it always brings joy to me to see them being enacted. The scenery from Ben's hike is beautiful. What a long hike.
Way to go Coop! I bet he has had a blast watching the games!
Coop & Dakota have so much in common and they keep finding more! I love that the Olympics have been an inspiration for our young ones. I just wrote an entry about how Dakota wants to be the next Michael Phelps. We had better get them training!! When are you guys coming down here?
