Camera Happy

I've been camera happy today for some reason, so I guess I might as well post some of them to give a little play-by-play of what's been going on in our life the past couple of days (hold on to your seats, it's very exciting!)

I'll start our picture montage with a yummy picture of Coop. For those of you who have never seen pink eye, here it is in all it's glory!

Don't you feel bad for the poor kid? This picture doesn't show how bad it really is, but you get the idea. The whites of his eyes aren't as red as they were, but the redness has spread to all the skin around his eyes. And the drainage, oh my goodness, the drainage. I can't keep his poor eyes clean. It's quite disgusting. Also, for those of you who don't know, pink eye is very contagious, so we've kind of been on lock down the past couple of days (although I did cheat and go to Walmart--a HUGE testament as to why we should all wash our hands after we go to any public place. I'm sorry to all of those we potentially infected because I couldn't keep my kid cooped up any longer and we needed groceries). Anyway, this pink eye crap leads into our next set of photos.

I had a class for work on Monday and Tuesday of this week, so Coop and Cam were supposed to go to Robin's house (that's our babysitter) both those days. Well, when I picked them up on Monday, Cooper's eyes were a little red and had a little bit of drainage. I knew once we got home he had pink eye and that we couldn't take them to her house the next day and expose other kids. I couldn't miss my class, so Ben had to take the day off work. So Tuesday morning at 6am (sorry sweetie!) Ben had go to work to get stuff ready for his sub. On his way home (in horrible southbound I-15 traffic), he was involved in a 4 car pile-up (some dumb guy wasn't paying attention as he was changing lanes). Ben's okay (although I'm sure he'll be feeling the whiplash effects for a little while), and our car isn't too bad, but I'm sure it won't be cheap to fix--the trunk won't open or close and the place where it's dented on the side doesn't look like an easily removable piece. At least it's not our insurance paying for it. Too bad it wasn't totaled, though, cuz you all know how much I love red Pontiacs! (I am SO grateful we have this car, though, AND I'm grateful Ben wasn't badly hurt, so I guess that was a terrible thing for me to say.)
This was caused by our car being sandwiched in between another car and a huge F350.

This is how our trunk looks now. It's absolutely non-funcational.
A nice chunk out of our bumper.

My final set of pictures are from Cambelle's experimentation with chocolate. Cooper, thinking he was being so nice (and yes, he really was being nice by sharing) decided to give Cambelle a Twix. Now, Cambelle has had chocolate once before when she discovered some M&M's at Halloween, but she was so infatuated with them, I didn't want her to have it again any time soon (why start her obsession this young? Then I'd have one more person I'd have to share my chocolate with.) Well, that's all gone out the window. She is absolutely ravenous for chocolate now. I took it away and I though I was going to have some Incredible Hulk type action on my hands. Her face actually morphed into this somewhat scary/evil looking demon child. And the scream she let out, good heavens! Needless to say, I let her have at the chocolate, and here are the results.
The "after" bath.

wow, you guys have had your hands full! Poor Cooper, and poor Ben/Red Pontiac...but lucky 'Cam' getting a mouth full of Twix! I tried to keep treats and chocolate away from my Alexa, it didn't last long because Tyler and others think babies are being left out if they don't get their share of treats...
